Overview

This is a story about a boy who is loved by another boy. The boy who is in love is mysterious loner, Elliot Paterson and the boy who he is in love with is Kenny Davis who sees Elliot one day as he is sat by the side of the lake feeding the ducks. Just as the two of them realise that they are each in love with one another, tragedy strikes. This is not just a book about gays for gays; it is a book about love and it is a book about loss but more than that, it is about how long each one lasts and which one is more important; more profound. Simple. Complicated. Short. This book is like life.

Author Information

Connor Hansford was born in 1997 in Dorchester, Dorset. He has always wanted to be a writer but only recently began writing. Brutal People is his first book although it will most certainly not be his last. Thus far, he has not been the recipient of any awards though he would not be adverse to them should any come his way in the future. Along with writing, he enjoys baking, musing and remembering to be respectful to people; the latter of which is, according to him, the hardest thing of all, though not quite as hard as remembering to drink hot drinks once he has made them. His least favourite word is lozenge because it is a horrible, plodding word; moreover, all lozenges are, in his opinion, nasty.
