Twylia Reid is a native of Mississippi who currently resides in Savannah, Georgia. She studied and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration at Trident University International while continuing to work as a HR Manager in the US Army where she is a 20 year retiree. 2018 Congressional Black Caucus Featured Author, 2018 Winner of The Authors Show Top Female Non-Fiction Author, 2017 American Book Fest Best Book Awards Finalist, The Huffington Post Expert Feature Series Who's Who - 10 Black Female Experts to Watch in 2018 selectee, 2017 Indie Author Legacy Award Author of the Year finalist, Elevate 2017 Triumphant Award Nominee, AAALAC International Recognized Author, President/CEO of Broken Wings, Inc., speaker, group facilitator, and licensed minister. She is also the founder of Broken Wings Brain Injury Empowerment Group, which is an online brain injury support group, and host of the Conquerors Cafe on Blog Talk Radio's She Praise Radio Magazine. Grateful for the support she has received, and passionate about her role as a Traumatic Brain Injury advocate and caregiver, she was inspired to write her first book entitled Broken Wings to help others understand the life of a brain injury survivor and his caregiver. Shortly afterwards she was inspired to write Affirmations for the Mind, Body, & Soul; A Guide for Survivors of Traumatic Events to demonstrate to survivors how their lives can be changed by the power of their words. Enlightening and empowering other survivors and caregivers by providing resources, encouragement, motivation, and inspiration is what she lives for. Teaching them how to turn their tragedy into working strategies to get results in spite of health or wealth challenges is her calling. Min. Reid is also a visionary and author of My Journey Goal Setting Journal , The WORD, the Truth & the Light Bible Study Notebook, and A Survivors Goal Planning Journal A Brain Injury Survivor's Guide to Goal Setting. She is currently working on two additional literary works titled When Caregivers Need Care GIVEN which will be released in November of 2018, as well as Private Pain which will be released in 2019.
