Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationThe Author: John Freund is Professor of English emeritus at Indiana University of Pennsylvania where he taught courses in Shakespeare and the modern drama and from 1972-81 edited Studies in the Humanities. He received his B.A. and M.A. degrees from Miami University and his Ph.D. from Indiana University (Bloomington). He has published a number of articles on the communication process, including a study of the role of entropy in composition, and his 1964 television program on the nature of perception won the Ohio State Award for the category of the natural and physical sciences.
