Pam Peebles always knew she wanted to write a children's book someday. She had a passion for hanging out with children and taught for over forty years. Part of that passion came from the family dog, Brodie! Pam dreamed of taking Brodie to hospitals and schools so she could read Brodie's book to children, and they could play with the big, loveable dog. When Pam passed away suddenly in 2022, her family knew they needed to achieve this dream in her honor. Because of this, they've published this book on behalf of Pam, and Brodie is on his way to becoming a certified therapy dog! Tracey Bourne is a graduate of the University of Mary Washington, where she obtained a bachelor's degree in fine art. She is a mixed-media artist, and her love for animals led her to specialize in pet portraits.In the 1980s, Tracey attended the school Pam was teaching at, and in 2013, their paths crossed again when Tracey became Pam's coworker. They became close friends, bonding over their shared love for coming up with fun projects for the children, as well as their pets, among so many other things. It was during this time they started talking about producing children's books together starring Pam's beloved dog, Brodie.
