He has been involved in World War Two living history and has served in the Royal Naval Reserve. He is a regular contributor to the Armourer magazine. He also writes the ‘Tales from the Supply Depot’ militaria blog which has developed into the largest online site of its kind devoted to collecting and researching British and Empire military artefacts. Michael Skriletz was born and raised in Washington State, USA. He has always had an avid love of history, particularly the histories of the Roman and British Empires. He started collecting British militaria in high school while working at a friend's army surplus store. The focus of his collecting over the years has been khaki drill uniforms and webbing and he is proud to be a member of the Karkee Web Research Team.
