The cards themselves are sturdy and a great size for little hands to use. Such a wonderful resource to have at home or in a classroom that uses this easy-to-read font. We love our sets of Alphabet cards and Three Letter Word cards and have played (and invented) lots of games with them! So much potential and such beautiful design. These are such a brilliant tool for home learning as well as for classrooms I don't think I can sing their praises enough! With gorgeous, stylised illustrations by Polish Illustrator and designer Dominika Lipniewska, the Alphabet and Three-Letter Words flash cards are targeted at children aged 3+... There's something about going through flash cards with a small child that is a totally different experience to reading a book with them... Language is so important for young children, and there is such value in reading to them as much as possible. You can't beat a good set of flash cards and these sets from Button Books tick a lot of boxes. Illustrated by Polish artist Dominika Lipniewska, they feature vintage-inspired geometric, block colour pictures with either three-letter words or letters of the alphabet printed in an easy-to-read font on the reverse. Each pack contains 52 laminated cards, plus notes and ideas for educational games and activities, packaged in sturdy cardboard boxes. At GBP7.99 each, they make a lovely gift for a preschooler. Your child can sort the cards into rows with the same vowel and they can read through the words and also try to write what they can remember, great for spellings! Author Information

Dominika Lipniewska is a Polish illustrator and designer with a passion for books and character design. Since graduating from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design and Cambridge School of Art she has been working as a freelance illustrator, published several books, led children's workshops, drawing events and worked with students.
