Dr. Stritmatter wrote his doctoral dissertation on parallels between Biblical references in Shakespeare's works and handwritten annotations in the personal Geneva Bible of Edward de Vere, the 17th Earl of Oxford, whom many believe was the actual author of the works published under the pseudonym, William Shakespeare.
