Overview

Briana is nine years old and in the third grade. She's outgoing, bright and quite able to take care of herself. Oh ... almost forgot. Briana has a disability--she's blind. The holidays are coming, and the challenged youngster asks for a very special gift. When that wish is unobtainable, the nine-year-old moves to the next item on her list. Now, Briana wants a dog for Christmas. With anticipation high, the family visits the local rescue shelter on Christmas Eve. There, an unusual possibility presents itself. Against their better judgement, the child's parents give in to Briana's choice. Briana now has a pet, and though unimagined, the family has a friend and a hero.

Reviews

Lydia - A Youngster: Briana and the Dog was a very good story. I like it because it teaches the lesson that everything and everyone has a purpose in life. It touched my heart that Beau risked his life to save his family. I loved to hear all the funny adventurous stories of Briana and Beau. Beverly M. - Reader: Heartwarming story of how a disability in a person or animal can awaken God's gifting of other senses to enrich their lives. Sharon L. - Reader: This was a heartwarming story of a little girl and her dog and the lessons she brought to other children. Though she had challenges of her own, it didn't hold her back.
