Univ.-Prof. em. Dr.-Ing. Bert Breuer gründete und leitete das Fachgebiet Fahrzeugtechnik der TU Darmstadt mit den Schwerpunkten Fahrwerk und Bremsen. Ehrenamtlich war er u. a. Vorsitzender der VDI-Gesellschaft Fahrzeug  und Verkehrstechnik und Präsident der FISITA und ist derzeit Präsident des internationalen µ-Symposiums.  Prof. Dr.-Ing. Karlheinz H. Bill, lehrt heute - nach Fahrzeugforschung an Hochschulen und in der Industrie - Fahrzeugtechnik an der Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Berlin.
