Rosanna began her dispatching career in 1976 with the Fresno (California) Police Department. In 1996, she went to work for the newly consolidated Santa Cruz 911 Center. She has worked as a dispatcher, training officer, lead dispatcher, shift supervisor, operations supervisor and training supervisor. Rosanna is a California Peace Officer Standards and Training (CA POST) Master Instructor and has participated in numerous committees and workshops to improve the training of public safety dispatchers statewide. She has made a number of presentations for organizations throughout the state and nation. She currently serves as a Training Officer for the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (CA POST) and is the first dispatcher to do so.
