OverviewThis is a wonderfully engaging and beautiful book for children and their grownups to read together. It is a true story that is narrated by Lukas, the adorable little pup who ""learns to be brave"" as he begins his injections to treat diabetes. There are two heroes in this book. The first is Lukas, who narrates the story of how he learned to be brave when he started his insulin shots. The second hero is Lisa, his ""mom"", who faced her fears and learned how to give him the shots, and to ""be brave like Lukas"". The charming illustrations and text tell the story, not only of Lukas, but also the whole gang of cats and dogs and their happy life together, as Lukas feels better again. This is an excellent resource and lovely read for children and their grownups. -Judy DiMeo, Ph.D, Special Educator Full Product DetailsAuthor: Lisa Marie RussellPublisher: Grenzbok Publishing Imprint: Grenzbok Publishing Dimensions: Width: 21.60cm , Height: 0.30cm , Length: 21.60cm Weight: 0.136kg ISBN: 9798992658927Pages: 48 Publication Date: 01 April 2025 Recommended Age: From 3 to 8 years Audience: Children/juvenile , Children / Juvenile Format: Paperback Publisher's Status: Active Availability: Available To Order We have confirmation that this item is in stock with the supplier.
