Her short fiction appears in Joyland and The Offing, and her writing has been supported by the Minnesota State Arts Board, the Loft Mentor Series, the Givens Foundation for African American Literature, VONA/Voices of Our Nation, and McCormack Writing Center (formerly Tin House). She mentors with the Minnesota Prison Writers Workshop. A former Fulbright scholar, she received her BA from Swarthmore College and an MSc in Migration Studies from Oxford University.
