The Kid Who Couldn't Stop Dribbling by Braden Smith is about a boy who loved basketball so much that he never wanted to put the ball down. Braden always had a basketball with him, whether he was at home, at school, or even in the yard before breakfast when he was a little boy. Although Braden was born in Arkansas, he grew up in Indiana. He grew up hearing basketballs bounce and cheers from high school halls. Because both of Braden's parents played college hoops, the game has always been a big part of his life. He learned quickly how to dribble the ball, quickly how to pass it, and quickly how to shoot with ease. Folks told Braden he wasn't small or strong enough, but he kept playing and worked hard every day to get better. Braden became famous at Westfield High School in Indiana. Because he was always on edge and quick, he helped his team win big games. He was not only a good player, but also a great friend. After following his dream all the way to Purdue University, Braden's love for the game only grew. He is now one of the Boilermakers' biggest fans.
