Years later, she continued that tradition, making it a priority to include her children in the kitchen like her mother did, in hopes that her boys would enjoy cooking too. Leila Romano currently lives in Southern Florida with her husband Rick and two daughters, Gabriella and Bianca. As a child and teen, Leila lived abroad in countries including Iran, United Kingdom, Indonesia, United Arab Emirates, and Malaysia. This international experience exposed Leila to many cultures and family traditions, many of which are centered around food and the preparation of meals. As certifiable foodies, Leila and her husband enjoy experimenting in the kitchen with recipes from all over the world. Gabriella and Bianca's favorites include shish kabob, hot and sour soup, roasted artichoke, blue cheese burgers, fresh sushi (fish caught by their Dad) and steamed clams. They never quite got the taste for PB&J. Laurel Lane is a graduate from the University of California, Irvine. Laurel has nieces and nephews of her own, and truly believes in the importance of kids eating healthy and building confidence in the kitchen at an early age. When Kelly and Leila came to her with their vision, she was so excited to bring this unique cookbook concept to life. Laurel lives in Northern California with her two little Shih Tzu dogs, Peetie and Shazam, who in fact love to help in the kitchen by cleaning up anything that falls on the floor!
