OverviewBOULEVARD POEMS - UNSUNG VOL. 2 - Paul Murphy This volume in the Paul Murphy Lyrics series contains a selection of material written by the Irish singer/songwriter from 1982 to 1993. As with ""UNSUNG Volume 1"", none of the works here were ever performed live, or covered by other artists, and were lost in their creators archive for almost 30 years. Written, in the most part, in a more standardised style than his better-known narrative prose, these works still span a variety of subject matter - protest, ballads, social commentary, love and rejected love. Also unearthed were two extraordinary prose pieces, dating from when Paul recited in folk clubs before taking up an instrument. A further batch of material dating from 1982, amongst the first lyrics ever written by him specifically for musical accompaniment, is also presented here. Also included is a song-by-song essay written by Paul, 'I Don't Remember Much, But...', and as bonus material, two current songs written the very day the manuscript was finalised. For anyone wishing to trace the evolution of this unique talent in the prose-narrative storytelling genre, BOULEVARD POEMS provides a fascinating insight.
