Barlow (known to most as ""Barlow"") was born and raised in Harlem, New York. He graduated Cum Laude from the City College of New York and currently works as a Litigation Specialist at a major corporate law firm. He is also the executive director and founder of the non-profit organization FromTheCorner, Inc. which is dedicated to providing inner-city youth with the tools necessary to overcome the obstacles that impede success. Barlow's evolution has taken him from selling drugs on the street corners of Harlem to the corner offices of some of America's top corporate attorneys. That journey led Barlow to his real passion--promoting societal egalitarianism along by writing and speaking about issues related to social justice in hopes of provoking an intellectual revolution. In 2017, Barlow self-published From the Corner to the Corner Office; a semi-autobiographical/motivational book, targeting but not limited to, Black and Latino youth growing up in the ""hoods"" across America. Described as a blueprint for success, Barlow wrote From the Corner with the intention of lifting inner city youth from the bowels of destruction into a world of opportunity. His next venture propelled him from the land of writing into the world of fashion. Still, the mission remains the same. In From The Corner, Barlow provided readers with the transformative tools necessary to overcome the obstacles that impede success. Using that same concept, he decided to create the S.N.O.B - (S)elf-Love (N)urtures (O)ur (B)rilliance - clothing line as a way to inspire people through fashion. He dared to believe that clothing can be worn with a conscience because the way he sees it, you're putting on an attitude not just an outfit. Not surprisingly, the magic doesn't stop there. Barlow's latest project is a children's book. Books Over Bullies, with illustrations inspired by Jules Lagarrigue--the son of renowned artist Jerome Lagarrigue--is the story of twin bullies who find redemption through the transformative power of books. Books Over Bullies promotes important themes that encourage kids to engage in reading, self-introspection, and conflict resolution. The necessary components for any safe space. The bottom-line is - whether it's books or fashion, Barlow's philosophy is based on challenging and transcending conventional ways of thinking, promoting social justice, and inspiration through self-affirmation.
