He began his photography career as a photographer for Circus magazine in 1971. His images of Rod Stewart and Alice Cooper became nationally distributed posters. His iconic picture of guitarist Eddie Van Halen in full flight is currently on the cover of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's Visitor Planning Guide and is featured on Rock and Roll Hall of Fame billboards. His image of Alice Cooper was used in the VH1 documentary Behind the Music: Alice Cooper. His concert portrait of drummer Frankie Banali of Quiet Riot was used in the documentary Well Now That You're Here, There's No Way Out. In 2015, his images appeared on the cover and inside of a calendar distributed by WalMart. Larry has won numerous awards from the National Press Photography Association, the Virginia Press Association, the South Carolina Press Association, and the Arkansas News Publishers Association.
