His contributions in the field of anesthesia and intensive care have been recognized by conferral of the medal of Commander to the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic. Dr. Agrò is a member of various professional organizations, including the Italian Medical Council, and acts as a reviewer for many prestigious journals. He has edited six medical books to date, and has published 75 peer-reviewed original articles.
