Die Kapitel sind alle fundiert recherchiert und sprachlich klar formuliert, so dass es neben dem Erkenntnisgewinn auch eine Freude ist, die Texte zu lesen. Schon die thematische Einleitung der Herausgeber_innen enthalt spannende Informationen sowie philosophische und asthetik-theoretische Ansatze, die spater in einer groesseren Tiefe wieder aufgenommen werden, ohne eine zu komplizierte Sprache zu bemuhen. Sicher ist es nicht zu viel gesagt, wenn man in dieser umfassenden, interdisziplinaren Publikation ein neues Standardwerk zur intermedialen Erforschung visueller Darstellungsformen von 'Koerpern aus Stein' erkennt. Alessandra Violi is Full Professor of English Literature and Culture at the University of Bergamo. Barbara Grespi is Associate Professor at the University of Bergamo where she teaches Cinema and Visual culture. Andrea Pinotti is Professor in Aesthetics in the Department of Philosophy ""Piero Martinetti"", State University of Milan. Pietro Conte is a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of Aesthetics at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice.
