OverviewIn the summer of 2012, Kristin, Michael, and their two children climbed into the family car with 100 days' worth of equipment, clothing, and investigative desire. Knowing their tribe of Christians to be quite reserved around the subject of evangelism, the Carroccinos set forth to catch Episcopalians in the act of sharing their faith. Along the way, they invited friends far and near to collaborate toward a new understanding of evangelism as spiritual practice. Over five months of conversation and 15,000 miles of driving, Michael and Kristin journeyed into an unseen world, where Episcopalians invite others into faith in ways that redefine the conventional paradigms of what it means to share the Good News. She is a contributor to and editor of two books: A Journey into Wholeness: Soul Travel from Lent to Easter and A Journey toward Home: Soul Travel from Advent through Epiphany, both publications of Mustard Seed Associates. Her poetry has appeared in several small journals. She enjoys teaching her son and daughter all sorts of interesting things, especially natural history and mindfulness techniques. She is learning a lot about robotics from her son and how to build fairy houses and use a sewing machine from her daughter. She experiences the movement of Spirit most often in nature, listening to beautiful music and prayers, and reading complicated poetry and prose on the couch under a blanket with a mug of warm tea. More information about her work may be found at www.carroccinocollective.com. Michael Carroccino is a priest at Saint Mark's Episcopal Cathedral in Seattle, where he explores ways of equipping people to live out their faith at home and in the workplace. You can read or listen to his sermons at www.saintmarks.org. As a homeschooling parent, he spends much of his free time learning about comic books and computer programming from his energetic and precocious children. Despite thousands of miles spent behind the wheel, road trips with his family rank high on his list of favorite activities. When he's not on the highway, Michael enjoys cooking, reading, spending time outdoors, and sharing blankets, good books, steaming mugs of tea, and the couch with his wonderful wife.
