Angelica Matus was born in Mexico City and obtained a BA in Mathematics. She worked for more than 10 years as a private tutor and is currently working at Cypress Mountain. She loves practicing outdoor activities and sports which allow her to meet new people from different countries, as she believes that knowledge opens up your mind and helps you to understand and respect others.Assia Hashimi comes from Afghanistan. She has a bachelor's degree in business administration. She wants to be a businesswoman and a writer too.Bahishta Rahmani is an Afghan journalist and member of the New Canadian Media.Deepa is an immigrant mother and a homemaker.Fidaa Alboiny is a former teacher assistant at Damascus university, an English and ESL teacher, and a published poet (2021). She holds a diploma of higher studies in comparative literature and currently works as an ESL teacher.Kefah Georges was a civil engineer in Syria and his favourite hobby is writing, especially poetry. He did not expect to witness a war destroying everything. He has been in Canada since 2018. He has learned that writing is not only a hobby, but a way to survive.Jisu was born in Korea. She now lives in Canada with her husband and child. Jisu has many dreams. Some of them have already come true, and the others remain unfulfilled, but she still likes to dream.Su Shruthi is a researcher/web-developer by profession. She enjoys staying active indoors and outdoors by volunteering for social causes, drawing and painting, videography, vlog-ing, hiking, listening to podcasts etc. She loves to learn new skills.Maryam Ghaderibafti is a recent immigrant to Canada from a culture steeped in tradition and stories. Her mother was her greatest inspiration, sharing her tales and sparking Maryam's love for storytelling. She now channels that passion into her writing, weaving personal experiences and vivid details from her childhood into her work, with a focus on evoking emotions in her readers.Touran Nazargahi was born in Iran and studied in India; she completed her BA in English and MA in Library & Information Science followed by a successful 7-year-long career as an English teacher. She is currently working in a library. She is a highly compassionate and resilient woman; she loves to support newcomer women in different aspects of settlement so that they don't have to encounter all the difficulties she's been through.
