Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationBird Trungma has been a practicing Buddhist since the early 1970's, when she Took Refuge at Gold Mountain Monastery in San Francisco. Not long after that, she became a student of the Tibetan Buddhist guru, the Vidyadhara, the Venerable Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche. In 2008, she travelled to Dharmasala, India, where she taught courses in Buddhism, mostly to Western tourists, as well as some Tibetan lay people and a few monks who wished to learn to speak about the Dharma in English. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from San Francisco State University and a Master's in Journalism from New York University.
