"Janice Mason Steeves has been a professional visual artist for forty years and currently shows her work in Canadian galleries. Her work is in private, public, and corporate collections in Canada, the USA, the UK, and Sweden. She has taught painting for thirteen years and has developed a program called ""Workshops in Wild Places,"" in which small groups of older artists gather for painting workshops in remote locations of the world. These workshops not only teach painting skills but help artists deepen their connection to the land. The author lives outside Toronto in the country with her German Shepherd, Hue (the best name for an artist's dog!)."
