He holds Bachelors of Arts and a Masters of Arts in Psychology. He has focused his research on Anxiety and the Treatment of Anxiety. In addition to scholarly studies, he served seven years in the US Army seeing the effects of Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder first hand. He has lived in examined how individuals handle and treat anxiety in various cultures including the United States, Europe, Far East and the Middle East.
