Her poetry is rooted in Yorkshire with tales of childhood, colliery villages, and Gypsies and Travellers. Her work has been published in a variety of poetry magazines and anthologies, as well as being awarded first prize in the Red Shed Poetry Competition (2016), and second prize in the Ledbury Poetry Competition (2019). A winner of both the Mslexia Poetry Competition (2016) and the Mslexia Poetry Pamphlet Competition (2019), she received a Northern Writers’ Award in 2019.
