Nothing in Hellen's old, pampered life ever prepared her for the harsh reality of winter in an abandoned building. Sure, there's a fireplace, and lots of dead limbs she can drag back home, but burning every stick on the forest floor isn't going to warm that cold, cold stone. The first year at the old monastery passed in a haze of hunger and desperation. Hellen spent her time nursing Queen Adia back from the brink of death when most of the time she didn't want to come. She can't let the lone rebel, Thorn, waste all his passion sabotaging barracks air coolers. The monks once told her Adia had to survive and be Queen no matter what. If Hellen has to crash the Overlord's Winter Festival, if she has to kill him and all his creepy new 2nd-dimensional supersoldiers, then so be it. It's time for a real Resistance.
