Overview

The medallion was never meant to be found. It was meant to stay buried with the bodies it had so terribly claimed. When archaeologist Terra Craven slices her finger and pulls a strange artifact from a ritual grave, something ancient takes hold. Her blood wakes it. Her body welcomes it. Her mind rots. Now the town stinks of mildew and decay. Crops are ravaged overnight, animals act in strange manners and in the Craven house, Terra smiles through teeth that aren't hers. Eleven-year-old Petra knows her mother is no longer. Whatever wears her skin is older than God, and it's still hungry. As her father sinks deeper into sin and denial, Petra is forced to face what's coming. Something crawled out of the ground with only one desire. The ritual must be complete.
