Bill Glass was one of the most outstanding football players in the NFL. He was a consensus All-American at Baylor University, and a member of the College Football Hall of Fame. He played with the Detroit Lions and later became the defensive end for the Cleveland Browns which wrapped up his twelve year professional career. Glass was a four time Pro Bowl star. Despite making a name for himself in the football arena, which was full of temptation, Bill maintained a close relationship with God, knowing that one day he would want to be in vocational Christian service. While in college, Glass helped to found a Baylor chapter of Campus Crusade for Christ alongside his lifelong friend, Dr. Bill Bright. While playing professionally, for the Browns, Bill spent his off-seasons studying for a degree in Theology at Southwestern Seminary. After he hung up his jersey, Glass founded the Bill Glass Ministries in 1969, at the urging of his close friend Billy Graham, which today is called Bill Glass Champions for Life. Through this program, Bill has been able to share the Word of God with thousands of people and is the founder and leader of one of the world's largest prison ministries. Champions for Life also services Youth Ministry through public and private schools and At-risk Youth Ministry through America's Juvenile Justice System. The highlight of his life has been sharing The Power of a Father's Blessing message in and out of prisons all over the world. This book includes rare insights about Blanton Collier, Paul Brown, Jim Brown, and many others.
