Blighted

Overview

All Melina of Ascolane has ever wanted to do is study magic, but when a devastating Blight destroys the sorcerers' city, her quiet life is swept into chaos. At the center of it all is the Tear of the Goddess-a sacred relic that anchors magic in the mortal world-and the mysterious knight sworn to protect it. Liliane de Montraine, once the Queen's Champion and now a knight-in-exile, carries both the Tear and the burden of a past she cannot outrun. Together, she and Melina must adventure into the perilous realms of Faerie, face treacherous High Fae politics and Blight-maddened underfae, and unravel the dark secret of the Tear before the Blight consumes everything they love. But as their quest draws them closer to each other, so too does it lead them toward a dangerous truth: Saving their world may mean dooming its magic forever.

Author Information

T.E. Lane was born and raised in Huntsville, Alabama, where, contrary to popular belief, there are more rocket scientists than outhouses. She has very strong opinions about coffee, politics, and the color of words, and she is currently working on her PhD in epidemiology, where her research focuses on sexual and gender minority health disparities in the South. She is an avid reader of all things fantasy and sci-fi, and she spends her free time hiking, knitting, and dabbling in very dead languages. She currently lives with three and a half black cats and one very ornery turtle-though she remains subject to the whims of the Cat Distribution System.
