OverviewBledsoe County, Tennessee, located at the upper end of the Sequatchie Valley, was created by an Act of the Legislature on November 30, 1807 and named in honor of Abraham Bledsoe, an early explorer in Tennessee and father of Anthony Bledsoe, one of Tennessee's early legislators. This volume of the Chancery Court is a summary of the various cases that came before the court and gives some of the details, but not all.
