I write for those women who do not speak, for those who do not have a voice because they were so terrified because we are taught to respect fear more than ourselves. The most neglected person in America is the Black woman. - Malcolm X In a year marked by the disproportionate coronavirus deaths of Blacks and the Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and George Floyd murders, Theresa M. Robinson offers a candid look at living while Black in the United States.
