OverviewThis fully revised and updated edition of Blackstone's Police Investigators' Mock Examination Paper 2009 ensures that National Investigators' Exam (NIE) candidates are fully prepared for their multiple-choice examination. The book is designed to replicate the actual exam format, so candidates can practice taking the whole exam in 2 hours. The book is A4 like the exam and is split into two handy sections, one containing the 80 question mock exam and answer sheet and the second containing the answers and detailed marking matrix with explanations and references. Section 1 contains the mock examination paper and accurately reflects the style of the actual NIE exam. It gives candidates the opportunity to test their knowledge of the content of the Blackstone's Police Investigators' Manual 2009, with space for them to write their answers. Section 2 contains the the answers and marking matrices and gives candidates a mark for the full examination and then indvidual marks for their knowledge of the four subject areas: Crime, Assaults, Sexual Offences and Evidence. This includes an explanation about how to calculate the percentage score.This section also includes a detailed examination booklet with full explanations and references to the Blackstone's Police Investigators' Manual 2009. The Investigators' Mock Exam has been completely updated for 2009 with new questions on legislative changes such as the Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act 2007. It also includes references to updates to the Fraud Act 2006, the Police and Justice Act 2006 and the Violent Crime Reduction Act 2006. There is also reference to revised the PACE Codes of Practice 2008. He has worked in CID and Plain Clothes vice operationally and is currently the Detective Sergeant Team Leader with responsibility for the force with regards to the ICIDP and IMSC courses at the Detective Training School. He was responsible for the force implementation of the ICIDP and is a qualified police trainer and training development officer at the Detective Training School. Mr Pinfield holds a Certificate of Education from Christ Church College and is a Centrex (now NPIA) trained Multiple Choice question writer.
