David Johnston LLB, LLM is a barrister and Chief Superintendent of Specialist Operations in the Metropolitan Police Service. Formerly a member of the NPT Examinations and Assessment team, he is a former OSPRE® Assessor and previously worked as a legal researcher for the Home Office in Harrogate. Glenn Hutton BA, MPhil, Chartered FCIPD was formerly a Superintendent in North Yorkshire Police. Elliot Gold is a barrister at Serjeants' Inn Chambers, having been called to the Bar in 2001, practising in police law, public law, mental capacity, and discrimination. In 2021, he was named professional discipline 'junior of the year' by Chambers and Partners. He is also a contributing author to the forthcoming edition of Police Misconduct, Complaints and Public Regulation, to be published by Oxford University Press.
