He was formerly the Director of Liberty, the human rights organisation, and has written widely on human rights and civil liberties, including Blackstone's Guide to the Human Rights Act, now in its third edition. Jonathan Griffiths is a lecturer in law in the Department of Law at Queen Mary, University of London. His primary research interests lie in the areas of information and intellectual property law.
