OverviewWhen ancient myths are challenged by modern magic, when Western peace is uprooted by supernatural sorcery of the Orient, the Chinese Zodiac can no longer be a symbol of luck as long as the inconceivable, degenerate Black Sheep runs amok. In this pilot - the first of several volumes - these selected short stories follow the hauntings of the Black Sheep. The wicked spirit is found monkeying around with cross-cultural jurisdictions, tampering with the lives of its own kin and kind, meddling with the dead, and upending a boring person into a non-boring lifestyle. Some reflect their experiences with comical narrative. Some reflect with horror. Was it an act of mischief or a crusade for justice? Were they all victims of a curse or an enchantment? Were the stars of these stories targeted out of spite from an old grudge or, by some unfortunate circumstance, randomly chosen? Only one person has that answer and that person happens to be the abominable mutation born on the Lunar Year of the Sheep. The Black Sheep. Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationHelen Tran is a fantasy writer who pours her lifelong love of adventure into every story she creates. From randomly picking out a book about Daniel Boone in second grade to becoming lost in the sci-fi and fantasy worlds of Piers Anthony and Robert Aspirin, Helen found herself so immersed in those adventures that she never quite returned the same. Writing for Helen became the natural extension of that wonder - a way to build the kinds of worlds she once escaped into.Black Sheep Laundry was a joy for her to write. The stories came together and became an entire world that she called home. And as readers can probably guess, she has no intention of slowing down her writing any time soon. She hopes this collection of stories will inspire the next creative mind, as her favorite authors inspired her. Black Sheep Laundry is her second published book. She first welcomed readers into her storytelling through An Old Shaman's Daughter: Wu, published under her pen name T.S. Tran. When Helen's not off on another adventure, she's tending to her business, making sure her kids brush their teeth, and checking in on her dearest family and friends.
