Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationSince the first edition of Black and Gold, author Rob Simpson has covered the Rangers for MSG Network and MSG.com in New York, and hosted and reported for a variety of programs for the NHL Network and NHL.com, including the daily NHL Live. The 30-year broadcast veteran is also an accomplished hockey writer, with another Wiley project forthcoming. Since leaving the New England Sports Network in 2008, he has made numerous appearances on Comcast New England and has continued to cover the Bruins organization. He followed the team to Europe to start the 2010-11 season and nine months later was on hand for Zdeno Chara's Stanley Cup party at Trencin Castle in Slovakia. A Delaware resident in the off-season, Simpson is working on hockey media opportunities and ventures on both sides of the Atlantic. Photographer Steve Babineau has spent the last 38 years accumulating hundreds of thousands of images of the Boston Bruins, Celtics, and Red Sox, as well as special event and concert photos from the Boston Garden and TD Garden. His decades of work and involvement as an employee, contractor, and fan have recently paid off in diamonds. Since 2007, Babs has earned championship rings with all three of the aforementioned sports organizations. His images have appeared in countless magazines, yearbooks, on hockey cards and promotional items, and on-line. Babs currently runs Sports Action Photography with his daughter Jamie and son Brian, who began taking photos with dad two decades ago. Steve and wife Anita are also the proud parents of Chris and Keith. Babs resides in his native Massachusetts and in Florida during the off-season.
