Birth of a Hippie is written and illustrated by JoDee Samuelson, an artist and a filmmaker who has lived in PEI for over 40 years. Her animated films have been shown at festivals around the world, winning numerous awards. JoDee is the author of The Cove Journal: Life on the Island's South Shore (Island Studies Press) and Birth of a Hippie is her second book.
