Author Information

Mark B. Robbins, a native Missourian, is Collection Manager of Ornithology at the Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia. He is the Seasonal Survey Editor for the Audubon Society of Missouri's Bluebird. In addition to studying Missouri birds, he has been working with the avifauna of the Andean countries of Ecuador, Peru, and Colombia for over a decade. David A. Easterla is Professor of Biology and Curator of Birds, Mammals and Herptiles at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville. He is past president of the Audubon Society of Missouri and board director and Chairman of the Missouri Rare Bird Records Committee for the Audubon Society of Missouri. His articles have appeared in such journals as National Wildlife and SmithsonianMagazine.
