Overview

In a war where brother is against brother, one young woman will fight for her family- no matter the cost. When her mother leaves to care for the wounded, and with her father and older brother away fighting in the Confederate army, Jo McKenzie is left to provide for and protect what remains of her family at home. But after her youngest brother is conscripted, Jo must take matters into her own hands and make an impossible choice- collaborate with the Confederate deserter, James Avery, or watch her last brother join the Rebel cause.
