Christie Matheson is the author of the popular picture books Tap the Magic Tree, Touch the Brightest Star, Plant the Tiny Seed, Bird Watch, and The Hidden Rainbow. A former editor at Boston magazine and columnist for the Boston Globe, she now lives with her husband and three young children in San Francisco.
