"This book is a compilation of research texts by Dr. Esteve Barrull in which he presents his theory of human behavior developed between 1993 and 1998. The perspective expressed in this book offers a comprehensive view that combines thermodynamics with information theory, enhancing our understanding of human beings based on the theory of dissipative structures. In the first part, dedicated to Biophysics, the fundamental laws governing the behavior of living beings are explained based on the principles of thermodynamics. In this first part, the theory of the perception-action cycle is introduced, which allows for the explanation and prediction of animal behavior using information theory and the thermodynamics of dissipative structures of entropy. In the second part, focused on Biopsychology, we delve into the understanding of social behavior in humans from a biological and physical perspective. Like all psychology, biopsychology seeks to achieve the health and well-being of human beings. By considering the concept of ""affection,"" understood from a physics standpoint as a flow of energy and from biology as a biological resource, the author hypothesizes that a deficit of affection in social relationships leads to neurological dysfunctions and, consequently, results in psychological disorders and non-communicable diseases. As a whole, this book provides a coherent and unified explanation of human behavior, emphasizing the importance of the struggle for entropy in living beings and social relationships."
