Invasive species are one of the major threats to natural ecosystems and the services they provide. This book focuses on invasives (particularly insect species) currently implicated in impacting ecosystems and native communities in the tropics. Biological invasions require a multidisciplinary approach across taxa and habitats. This book updates recent advances in biological invasion research and highlights the impacts of invasives, identifies and explains mechanisms of invasion, and identifies research gaps.
