Author Information

Dr. Rahul Badru is working as Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Basic and Applied Sciences, SGGSW University, India. (https://www.sggswu.edu.in/dept-faculty.php?id=20). He is a multidisciplinary researcher in his career. He started his research journey in 2009 and earned his Ph.D. degree in Synthetic Organic Chemistry entitled “Synthesis of Heterocyclic Compounds through Cycloadditions of Nitrones and Azomethines with Active Dipolarophiles” from Punjabi University, Patiala. His Ph.D. research focused on the synthesis of heterocyclic compounds of pharmacological importance by dipolar cycloadditions. Later, he gained experience in the fields of nanocomposites of inorganic-inorganic and inorganic-organic hybrid nature, electrochemical sensors, adsorptive and degradative waste-water remediation, ionic liquids, and metal-organic frameworks. His current research focuses on nanoparticle synthesis and he has published a number of research articles in SCI-indexed journals from Elsevier, RSC, ACS, Wiley and Springer in past five years. He is lifetime member of several scientific societies and reviewer of various peer reviewed journals. Dr. Yadvinder Singh is working as Assistant Professor (Botany) in the Department of Botany and Environmental Science of Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab (India). (https://www.sggswu.edu.in/dept-faculty.php?id=19) He completed his Ph.D. in Botany at Punjabi University, Patiala. Dr. Singh is the recipient of some national and international awards and fellowships. In his 14 years of research career, he has published extensively on various aspects of extremophilic cyanobacteria and algae, cyanobacteria for value-added products, freshwater limnology and ecology, bioremediation potential of cyanobacteria, cyanobacterial systematics, and phylogenetics. He has published a number of research papers in journals of international repute and several book chapters, having more than 475 citations with 12 h-index and 13 i10-index. Dr. Singh is also awarded by the Early Career Research Award and lifetime member of various scientific societies as well as a reviewer of various peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Narinder Singh received Ph.D. from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. He joined Osaka City University Japan as Postdoctoral fellow in 2005 and afterward worked as Postdoc fellow at Yonsei University Korea and Robert Gordon University Scotland, UK. In 2009, he returned back to India to join Indian Institute of Technology Ropar (IIT Ropar) and currently he is Professor at Chemistry Department as well as Professor in Department of Biomedical Engineering of IIT Ropar. He served the institute as Chairperson of the Chemistry Department from Oct 2011 to March 2015; Chairman GATE Exam; and currently serving as Member Senate IIT Ropar. He has completed various national and international projects and currently he is handling the projects (including consultancy) worth several Crores. He has published 315 research papers in international peer reviewed journals. Most of them are reported in Royal Chemical Society and American Chemical Society. He has guided 14 PhD students, 5 Postdoc fellows and several MSc/M.Tech students. His research work is concerned with the organic materials synthesis of supramolecular assemblies and evaluation of photo-physical properties for sustainable development. In December 2016; he was awarded with Prof. SS Sandhu Medal from Indian Chemical Society for his excellent contribution in Analytical and Environmental Chemistry. In 2018, he was awarded with the Faculty Research Innovation Award from IIT Ropar Dr. Deepak Dubal is Associate Professor (Australian Future Fellow) at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) and has a strong research background in the field of Nano-materials for clean energy conversion and storage systems. Briefly, Deepak's research interest is focused on designing and engineering of functional materials such as New Oxides/Nitrides, Polyoxometalates (POMs), Conducting polymers and their hybrids for energy storage applications with special emphasis on Supercapacitors, Li-ion batteries, beyond Li-ion batteries etc. At QUT, his research is to develop an integrated system as self-charging power source for wearable electronics and implantable medical devices. Before joining QUT, Deepak worked as Vice Chancellor Fellow at School of Chemical Engineering, University of Adelaide. He is also former recipient of two most prestigious fellowships: Marie-Curie at ICN2, Spain (2014) and Alexander von Humboldt at TUC, Germany (2012). So far, Deepak has co-authored more than 140 research articles including Chem. Soc. Rev., Adv. Mater., Adv. Fun. Mater, Nano Energy, NPG Asia Materials etc. and achieved over 9767 citations, 'h' index: 53 and 'i10' index 122 (Google Scholar). He has edited one book, contributed several book chapters and filed several patents including World, US, European and Spanish.
