OverviewThis book explores biomass as a sustainable resource for bioenergy production and the utilization of its byproducts. It covers biomass classification, characterization, and conversion into value-added products, along with biofuel production from agro-waste, organic waste, and food waste. Key topics include nanomaterials in biofuel enhancement, microbial fuel cells for bioelectricity, life cycle assessment (LCA), and global bioenergy trends. The book also examines byproduct applications, commercialization challenges, and sustainability goals. It serves as a valuable resource for researchers, academicians, industry professionals, policymakers, and students. He has published 36 research/review articles in SCI/Scopus-indexed journals, 5 patents, and contributed 17 book chapters in books. He serves as an editor for several reputed journals and has edited multiple books published by reputed international publishers. Dr. Nidhi Singh is currently Centre of Experimental Medicine and Surgery, Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi. She completed her PhD in Bioinformatics (Metagenomics and its application environmental sustainability, Biomass conversion). Dr. Nidhi has published more than 20 publications in reputed publisher. She also filed patent under Intellectual Property India. She is also reviewer of several International Journals. She has received several awards during her academic career. The research area of Dr. Nidhi is focused on Metagenomics, Biomass characterization, Biofuel production, Waste management, Waste to value-added products and microbial biofuel production and wastewater treatment. Dr. Nidhi is a bioinformatician with extensive knowledge of data analysis used in biomass conversion and biofuel research. Her contributions will significantly enhance the quality of our proposed book. Dr. Sarva Mangala Praveena is an Associate Professor in Department of Environmental and Occupational Health, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Universiti Putra Malaysia. Most recently, her team has extended research on waste to bioenergy production & value added products and microplastics in environment complementary to the existing international efforts to bridge microplastics pollution data gaps from developing countries in Southeast Asia region. Her area of expertise is founded upon a deep understanding of pollutant levels and the associated risks to both the environment and human health. This expertise forms the foundation of her comprehensive approach to addressing the global issue of environmental pollution. At the core of her current work is the rigorous analysis of waste management, bioenergy production and microplastic pollution in environmental samples. This research is driven by a profound awareness of the multifaceted impacts that waste materials have on our environment and human well-being. Most recently, her team has extended research on waste management, bioenergy production and microplastics in environment complementary to the existing international efforts to bridge environmental pollution data gaps from developing countries in Southeast Asia region. Dr. Praveena actively involved in this proposed book as co-editor. Tab Content 6Author Website:Countries AvailableAll regions |
