OverviewThe distribution of parasitic agents in the environment constitutes a major public health problem. The aim of this study is to determine the biodiversity of the forms of dissemination of entero-pathogenic Protozoa present in groundwater and the impact of environmental factors in the Central region (Cameroon). The physicochemical and biological analyzes were carried out following standard methods. Physicochemical analyzes revealed that groundwater deviates from WHO standards. Biological analyzes showed water contamination by pathogens. Overall, parasite densities were higher during rainy seasons. Statistical analyzes show that suspended materials would promote the increase in electrical conductivity and would promote the reduction of parasitic loads. The contamination of groundwater by pathogens is associated with surrounding pollution and is the main cause of diarrheal diseases. The problems of environmental contamination in Africa are linked to the poor, to droppings in the open air.
