OverviewDuring the Christmas Holidays one year, the author invited two young friends over for hot chocolate and marshmallows. After the girls had consumed as much sweetness as they could, she wondered what they should do since she didn't have any games. Fortunately, the two girls were very interested in two tall stained glass windows of giraffes that divided the kitchen from the living room and they noticed a little bear in the lower corner of one of the windows. The author explained that the little bear was called Bingo and that he had climbed the great African mountain called Kilimanjaro that could be seen behind one of the giraffes. She then asked the girls if they would like to hear the story of that climb which had been written many years ago for her own children. Of course they did. And here it is for you to enjoy as well.
