Billy Bunny's Adventure Lost and Found

Overview

Billy Bunny loves adventure. The meadow is wide, the grass is tall, and the world beyond his burrow calls to him with rustling leaves and shimmering light. He is certain he is ready to explore it all on his own. But when curiosity carries him farther than he has ever gone before, Billy discovers that the world is bigger - and a little lonelier - than he imagined. Along the way, he meets watchful creatures, hears unexpected warnings, and begins to understand that bravery does not always mean going farther. Sometimes, it means knowing when to turn back. Tenderly told and beautifully illustrated, Billy Bunny's Adventure: Lost and Found is a heartfelt story about growing independence, the wisdom of those who care for us, and the quiet courage it takes to find your way home. Perfect for read-aloud moments, this gentle woodland tale reassures young readers that love is never far away - even when we wander.

Author Information

Judith Low is an independent author and screenwriter whose work explores the connections between people, nature, memory, and imagination. Her stories range from lyrical literary fiction and speculative worlds to gentle tales for children, all united by a belief that curiosity, courage, and compassion help guide us home. Her adult fiction includes A Promise Made in the Dark, The Forgotten Talents, and the short-story collection Where the Veil Grows Thin, which explores the mysterious spaces where memory, grief, and the unseen meet. For younger readers, she writes illustrated stories that celebrate wonder, kindness, and the small adventures of everyday life, including Stray, Billy Bunny, and A Turtle in a Tree. Judith is also a screenwriter. Her novel A Promise Made in the Dark has been adapted into a seven-part limited series screenplay, and she is the writer of the original screenplay Ignition 60. Inspired by wildlife, family, and the quiet poetry of the natural world, Judith believes stories help us understand one another and remind us that even in uncertain times, imagination and empathy remain among our most powerful human talents.
