OverviewThis is a true story of a family held hostage and a bank extortion which occurred in January of 1984 in Dallas, Texas. The story follows the crime, the investigation by the FBI and the trial. The author is the FBI Agent who was assigned to the case. The prosecutor was a man known as a Texas legend who earlier in his career was the lead prosecutor in a case of some national interest. That would be the State of Texas v Jack Ruby. The idea as to how to commit the extortion came to the bad guys right out of a Hollywood movie. The investigation certainly did not follow the path of a simple and easy to believe Hollywood plot.
