Overview

In this new fairy tale mash-up from author David Sherrin, Big Bad Wolf helps the prince find the courage to embrace his inner self. Everyone in town was buzzing with anticipation for the royal masquerade ball-except Wolf. He doesn't like treats, or costumes, or parties. He would rather crash the party and ruin it. Wolf disguises himself and goes to the ball, but before he can reveal himself and scare everyone, he meets the prince. The prince is tired of royal life. He's not allowed to dance, eat dessert, or even dress up for his own costume party! He is supposed to be good all the time. What a nightmare! Wolf abandons his plan to scare everyone and instead helps the prince disguise himself as a normal boy, and that's when they have some real fun together. Pulling pranks and eating plenty of treats, the prince can finally be himself without the pressure to be perfect. Turns out that a big bad wolf is just the friend the prince needed.

Author Information

David Sherrin is a national-award-winning teacher at Scarsdale High School in Scarsdale, New York. His debut picture book, Big Bad Wolf's Yom Kippur, had featured reviews in Kirkus, Jewish Books for Kids, and the Jewish Book Council. He is also the author of several books about teaching history including The Classes They Remember: Using Role-Plays to Bring Social Studies and English to Life. David lives in Tarrytown, New York. Martín Morón is the illustrator of more than fifty books for children including Big Bad Wolf's Yom Kippur, The Baddest Wolf of All, and Surfing Past Fears. He is the author and illustrator of many books as well, including Un Señor de Negocios, published in Spanish. He studied at the School of Visual Arts in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he lives.
