Overview

More than 160 shows take place during fashion weeks in New York, Milan, London and Paris. Hundreds - if not thousands - of people are responsible for this twice-yearly mayhem. It is easy to forget that these shows, sometimes costing many hundreds of thousands of dollars for the biggest houses, are the result of personal vision, extraordinary precision-planning, and superhuman effort by designers, producers, stylists, art directors, milliners, fixers, models, runners and press corps.
